how did you get that idea wayno I love my job Embarassed it doesn't take me long to type though I took a typing class and I'm fairly fast at typing. XD But yeah my job sucks. I go through dusty, molding old boxes with paper in them. I take the paper out of 1 box, write down what it is and put it into a new box. woooo so much fun! Rolling Eyes

because I have a crappy job or because I like colorguard Razz but well wonderland is sort of boring. Even tried playing the japanese wl. I'm just afk training to get my pets and characters to high lvls so I can do all the quests I wanted to do. Plus I guess if I didn't play wonderland I wouldn't have anything to do other than read books (not that reading is a bad thing)

Wayno did you read any of my first post at all? Razz I don't really expect anyone to lol

Anyway lol wayno. I would say wlo ftw to but it's just not as much fun as it used to be. Reading books is a lot of fun though. And I just might finish 'The Lovely Bones' after months of struggling to get through it. I could already read the Twilight Series again (slowly this time) or read the Harry Potter series (and finally finish it). I would watch the movies but that creative licensing thing where they change parts of the movie so it doesn't match the book irritates me. Evil or Very Mad

the movies are retarded though x.x Like the Twilight movie. As a movie it's decent but as a movie based on a book it sucks. The first time I saw the movie I was irritated at the changes they made because I love the books. The 2nd time I saw it with a friend (she never saw the movie before then) we spent the whole time laughing at how stupid the movie seemed.

I'm really sorry wayne. I didn't mean to sound sarcastic at all. I just deleted all the stuff I wrote because it didn't seem to have a purpose. If I want to write about that stuff then I can find a forum made for it right? ^_^ I was just excited from watching the videos. They bring back fun memories (and some not so fun memories) and I felt like I had to tell someone I guess. I'm sorry I wasted your time posting here Wayne and I'm sorry that I came across as sarcastic or angry. I was just deleting a pointless post.

i added some videos from youtube to my post. 1 of them was the 'Machine' performed by The Cavaliers one of my favorite groups. I actually saw this show live and it gave me chills. I also saw their performance of 007 which I really enjoyed also. ^_^

I envy them. My shows never went as well as theirs. But I guess it comes from the fact that I only spent about $600 to be in the colorguard at my school instead of pay $1000+ to tryout with people from all over the country. They recruit the best so of course they are amazing. Still...even if I was given a chance to join them I'm still a girl so not a chance for me. ^_^

The other 2 videos were from the 1989 Phantom of the Opera performance done by the Santa Clara Vanguard. They took 1st that year and it's quit and amazing show ^_^

I found 1 video from the Blue Devils. A corp I always planned on trying out for but life always got in the way. It took me a while to hunt down any of their videos online that have decent quality. Anyway here's the Blue Devils show The Godfather: Part Blue.

Here are some intro's to the final championship show that used to appear on ESPN2

This last one you'll have to turn up the volumn to hear but it gives you some info about what DCI is.

I can agree with all of this video ^_^ I think there is nothing greater in this world than being in a marching band and colorguard. The friendships you make there are amazing and the memories you make last a lifetime. Even if all of it isn't so great that rush you get when you are called to attention and you take that deep breath before you take your first step on the field to perform. It's simply an amazing feeling. It takes away all of the stress of other things in life. All the pain and tired feelings from days of practicing 7 hours a day (for my marching band and colorguard it was 7 hours. DCI bands practice 12 hours a day for 2 months) in 100 degree heat. In that 1 moment the marching band and colorguard are 1 being pouring our hearts into those few precious moments where we wow the crowd. I don't think I'll find anything else that will ever come close to matching the emotions I felt during those times.

Even though you were joking Wayne you pretty much hit the nail on the head about people laughing at us. Honestly I was laughed at a lot for being part of the colorguard. I was laughed at even more because of my dedication, hardwork and love for colorguard. I put so much energy and emotion into every step I took and every move I made while I performed by the end I was normally to weak to move. Once they almost wanted to call medical people to come check on me. But I had sort of twisted my ankle while performing because someone poured ice on the field so it was understandable for me to be in some pain I think XD But the dedication I had to colorguard was laughed at a lot. So when I said it wouldn't be the first time for someone to laugh I ment it.

...and here I thought I was going to be short and to the point. I really need to learn to cut my explinations down. Sorry wayne. I don't know if you'll read all of this but if you do I'm sorry to make you read it and thank you.
